Vanity Salon was established in October 1997, in the affluent Tanglewood/Galleria area by Glennis Tolunay and had its grand opening on February 2, 1998. In 2005, with the help of Neill Corporation, Vanity transitioned from a multi-product line salon to an exclusive full-service Aveda Lifestyle Salon offering hair care, skincare, nails, and makeup services.
Then in 2009, Glennis’ daughter Fiona re-joined the salon team as Operations Manager after a two-year experience living and working in London. The salon was growing steadily and in 2010, after a sandwich shop next door closed its doors, Vanity took over their space and expanded.
Everyone that works at Vanity Salon is a DAYMAKER! We are people that perform acts of kindness with the intention of making the world a better place. On a daily basis, we get to exercise our artistic expression, work with different types of people and make people feel good. Each day is a gift and each person we encounter is an opportunity to leave an impact on them and make a difference.

Vanity is currently a member of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and was nationally recognized and honored as a Salon Today Top 200 Salon in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2018. Vanity was also voted Best Hair Color in Houston in 2012 as well as Best Hair Color and Best Hair Salon in Houston in 2013 by A-List City Voter.
